Lyrics:
they're going higher
wind is whistling on the barbs
your head's a hammer

hangwire
hangwire
hangwire
(meet you at the) hangwire

that man is a liar
the day is like a warm night
salt rusts the cold line

hangwire
hangwire
hangwire
(meet you at the) hangwire

every morning and every day
I'll bossanova with ya

if there were a fire
can we scratch beneath this

hangwire
hangwire
hangwire
(meet you at the) hangwire

hangwire
hangwire
hangwire
we're going higher
hangwire
hangwire
we're going higher
hangwire
hangwire
we're going higher
hangwire
hangwire
hangwire
hangwire
hangwire
hangwire
hangwire
hangwire

Quotes:
This is haiku.
- Music Express, October 1990

Yeah, the first two verses to that song are in a Haiku format - Japanese verse with three lines: five syllables, then seven, then five. Only thing, it isn't true Haiku cos it doesn't incorporate nature and make some philosophical statement about the universe or whatever.
- Sounds, December 1990
