Lyrics:
A lot of people love that Jerome
Did you know he missed his comb?
All his life was in pain
Made us laugh he never did complain

Brother Sam was more than OK
Returned once more to save the day
Slicked-back hair he did keep
Making a heep, heep, heep, heep, heep

If all you see is violence
Then I make a plea in their defence
Don't you know they speak vaudevillian?
And for what it is hear what my theory is
Some gibberish it is so serious
What we need is more silly men

Though underrated all the time
Louis was so very fine
Without him, imagine
Did you know he could play the violin?

Most important was brother Moe
He was the one who made it so
He got a Joe and another Joe
He would not quit, he would not quit

And Mr. White heard bad report
And so it ends the two reeler short
Cause you cannot do what you can't
And Mr. White heard bad report
And so it ends the two reeler short
Cause you cannot do what you can't

If all you see is violence
Then I make a plea in their defence
Don't you know they speak vaudevillian?

Notes:
A song about the Three Stooges.

Definitions and References:
Two Reeler
A term used for a short which required two reels of film. The Three Stooges' contract with Columbia was for eight two-reelers per year to be filmed within 40 weeks. The other 12 weeks the Stooges spent touring.

Jerome
When Sam left the act, Moe's younger brother Jerome was considered to become the third stooge. However, with his curly black locks and facial hair he didn't look enough like the others, so he shaved it off and thus Curly was born.

Sam
One of the original three stooges, he left in 1931 to pursue a career in feature films. However, when Curly was stricken with cancer, in spite of a flourishing career, he returned to be the third stooge knowing that otherwise, Moe and Larry's careers would be finished.

Louis
Although known as Larry, he was born as Louis. He joined brothers Sam and Moe as one of the original stooges, leaving his violinist career behind.

Moe
Founded the Three Stooges in 1922 with his brother Sam and was the only one to remain involved from beginning to end and held the troupe together through some trying times.

Joe and another Joe
After Sam died of a heart attack just three years after Curly's demise, Joe Besser was quickly called to fill in for him. He left when his own wife had a heart attack, and Moe quickly signed Joe DeRita (known as Curly-Joe because of his resemblance to Curly) to fill in.

Mr. White
The Three Stooges shorts were directed primarily by Jules White. Unfortunately, as television came into the mainstream, the demand for shorts ended and Columbia dropped the stooges as a result.
